Tuesday, July 7, at 7 p.m.
Sunday, July 12, at noon.
Starting point: Hamline United Methodist Church raingarden, at the corner of Minnehaha Avenue and Simpson Avenue. Directions
After getting a guided tour of the HUMC raingarden, we'll walk a couple blocks to a residential raingarden. Finally, we'll stop by a boulevard garden that's been designed to minimize the amount of rainwater that runs into the street.
Photos of the installation of the Hamline United Methodist Church raingarden can be seen here.

Midway Roots
Community gardening projects have been sprouting up all over the Hamline-Midway neighborhood. Helping out with these projects has been quite rewarding. I've learned a lot from working alongside Master Gardeners such as Steph and Diane. More importantly, I've connected with other gardeners in the neighborhood.
Jonathan Dregni is one of the people I met while working on a community garden project. He's a LISN Fellow, and his goal this year is to build connections between gardeners in the neighborhood.
Midway Roots is part of that effort.
